The successful candidate will oversee the planning, readiness, and operational delivery of assigned venues in Riyadh and Jeddah, ensuring they are fully prepared to support event activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, functionality, and stakeholder experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive experience in venue operations, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects in fast-paced event environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, coordination, and operational management of assigned venues throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and implement venue operational plans, procedures, timelines, and readiness strategies
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including security, accreditation, transport, hospitality, workforce, technology, medical, logistics, catering, and facilities management
Oversee venue inspections, operational testing, rehearsals, and readiness activities
Ensure venues are maintained to the highest operational, safety, and service standards
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to support successful event delivery
Serve as the primary operational contact for venue stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams
Lead venue coordination meetings and provide regular operational updates to senior leadership
Manage venue resources, operational budgets (where applicable), and service providers
Support incident response planning and oversee the resolution of operational issues during event-time operations
Lead, coach, and supervise venue operations teams, promoting collaboration and operational excellence
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, security, and event governance requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in venue management, event operations, facilities management, or major event delivery
Proven experience managing venues for international sporting events, exhibitions, conferences, festivals, or other large-scale events
Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple operational priorities under tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management or venue management systems is an advantage
Fluent in English; Arabic is considered an asset
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event operations
