Saudi Arabia’s events industry gets its own moment on stage next month. The Saudi Event Show returns for its sixth edition on September 9-10, 2026 at The Arena, Riyadh, running alongside the second edition of the Saudi Event Awards, with the ceremony and gala dinner set for September 10 at the JW Marriott Hotel Riyadh. The shortlist has been live since late July, and it offers a useful snapshot of where the Kingdom’s events sector actually stands.
The Saudi Event Show is organized by Informa Connect and bills itself as the Kingdom’s largest exhibition dedicated to events, entertainment, and MICE. This year’s exhibition is expected to draw more than 5,500 event industry professionals and over 100 exhibitors spanning production, technology, and creative services, alongside more than 30 free seminar sessions featuring over 70 speakers. Entry to the exhibition and seminars is free.
The Saudi Event Awards, now in its second edition and built on the 15-year legacy of the Middle East Event Awards (established 2009), span 29 categories across six tracks:
Two categories are new for 2026: Best Use of AI at an Event and Event Team of the Year, both signals of where organizers expect the market to move next.
The 2026 panel includes more than 30 judges drawn from across the ecosystem: venue owners such as Riyadh Airports Company, agencies including MCI Group and GES Middle East, association leadership from the Saudi Exhibitions and Conferences Association (SECA), and organizers from the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Local Organizing Committee. A judging panel this broad, spanning venues, agencies, suppliers, and major event owners, is itself a marker of how interconnected the Kingdom’s events supply chain has become.
