Most of the conversation around Saudi Arabia’s events industry centers on exhibitions, conferences and large corporate programs. But new data shows the fastest-growing segment of the market isn’t corporate at all. According to Mordor Intelligence’s Saudi Arabia Event Management Market report (last updated 12 August 2026), individual events — weddings, graduations and milestone celebrations — are set to grow at an 11.74% CAGR through 2031, outpacing the market’s overall 7.14% growth rate.
Corporate events held 58.42% of market share in 2025, propped up by localization mandates that have turned internal company meetings into a near-mandatory practice. But per the report, it’s the individual segment — not corporate, not even the public sector — that’s forecast to post the fastest growth between 2026 and 2031, driven by two factors the report names directly: cultural liberalization and rising disposable income among Saudi nationals.
The growth isn’t just about more occasions being celebrated — it reflects a shift in how they’re run. The report notes that individual clients are moving away from home-based festivities toward professionally staged experiences built around themed décor and live entertainment. What used to be a simple family arrangement now often calls in an event planner, a décor designer, a production and lighting crew, and sometimes performers or a live band.
