RX Arabia, part of global events and exhibitions leader RX (a division of RELX), is hiring an Event Assistant in Riyadh. RX operates in 25 countries across 42 industry sectors and hosts approximately 350 events annually. This role is open to Saudi Nationals and offers a hands-on entry point into the events industry at a FTSE 100 company.
Position Overview
The Event Assistant will support Event Leaders and Marketing Managers across the planning, promotion, and delivery of successful events, gaining exposure to event operations, marketing, administration, ticketing, VIP support, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and coordinating event features, activations, and arena programmes
Support scheduling, running orders, and rehearsals for speakers, moderators, and performers
Coordinate with talent, partners, and industry associations on contracts and logistics
Manage speaker and talent content, including biographies, photos, and website materials
Support partner contracts, sponsorship agreements, and supplier communications
Assist with ticketing, VIP administration, and attendee management
Support website updates, email campaigns, content creation, and social media activity
Coordinate artwork approvals, creative asset tracking, and design quality checks
Maintain event databases, trackers, and reports
Raise purchase orders and support invoice processing
Assist with onsite event operations, venue setup, and logistics coordination
Track and compile post-event content, including media coverage and partner activity
Qualifications
Graduate or 1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Interest in events, marketing, or digital communications
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Experience with website content management, social media, or tools like Canva is beneficial
Willingness to support onsite events, including occasional non-standard hours
